GadgetReview Daily Deals: Asus Transformer Infinity $470, Lenovo U410 UltraBook $650

GadgetReview Daily Deals: Asus Transformer Infinity $470, Lenovo U410 UltraBook $650

Our top deals today are offerings from Asus and Lenovo as well as a new PC game release at a coupon discount. The recently well reviewed Asus Transformer Pad Infinity offers a high end 10.1-inch 1200p display and its now available at an attractive price. Since it’s July release this is the first decent price drop to $470 at OfficeDepot.com. Nearly everywhere else it goes for $500. While not a huge saving, this is a good price for a top-of-the line Android tablet.

For Halloween and horror game lovers, next Friday’s release of Lucius on PC is only $13.60 at Green Man Gaming after coupon. That’s well under Steams price of $21.24. Finally, if you’re in the market for an Ultrabook you should check out the 14-inch Lenovo U410 with Ivy Bridge Core i5 now at it’s lowest price ever by $50.

Three Lenovo laptops drop to their lowest price ever today. The 17-inch Lenovo G780 budget laptop with Ivy Bridge Core i5 and 8 gigs of RAM hit a new low by $50 after a best ever $270 coupon code. The gaming capable Lenovo Y580 with GeForce GTX 660M with discrete GPU is $50 off last week’s price $849. If you were looking for an Ultrabook under $700 the Lenovo U410 wouldn’t be a bad choice since it’s cheapest ever after today’s $320 coupon code.

Mostly PC gaming deals to mention in today’s section. If you need a new headset the Corsair Vengernce 1500 and Creative Labs Sound Blaster Tactic get good reviews and are at their lowest prices ever. Green Man Gaming has both an instant savings discount and a 20% off coupon to stack with Darksiders 2, Lucius, Risen 2: Dark Waters, and Anna PC games. As for console users you can get Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition for $16, which is a new low by $4.

This 46-inch RCA set is not only incredibly inexpensive for its size but also got 4.6 out of 5 stars on Best Buy after eight reviews. It doesn’t come with a lot of extra features, but keep in mind you’ll probably get Internet streaming capability on most late-model Blu-ray players these days anyway. Why pay twice for the same thing?

Next we’ve got two monitors with slightly different target markets. The Asus IPS monitor is ideal for graphics-intensive work where a wider color gamut and greater accuracy are required, whereas the Acer monitor is more of a run-of-the-mill screen – but still capable of producing very good picture quality.

Today we’ve got two standout deals on video cards. The high-powered 3GB Radeon HD 7970 from VisionTek is only $360 after a coupon, and as you might guess, it’s capable of running most modern game you’d throw at it. For more casual graphics needs, the EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti is just over $100 and even comes with a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10.

Today the 32GB Asus Transformer Pad Infinity makes its new lowest price ever by $30, and the 16GB Lenovo IdeaPad A1 is tied with its previous low again thanks to a $100 manufacturer’s coupon. Some ecstatic reviewers say the Asus is actually an iPad 3 killer…regardless, it’s got a 1080p Gorilla Glass coated screen and very good specs. In contrast, the IdeaPad is more of an entry-level tablet spec-wise but still incredibly well-received.

As usual, we’ve got a wide assortment of deals in the miscellaneous category. Perhaps the most standout in terms of tech appeal is the Logitech T400 mouse, which you can read about here. Basically it’s a mouse optimized for Windows 8 that’s sort of like a hybrid between a traditional mouse and a touchpad. The Creative Inspire T10 speakers are a great choice for good quality computer audio on a budget, while the Toshiba BDK33 Blu-ray player includes WiFi and streams most things you’d want for only $40.
